Deciding to say goodbye to unwanted ink is the hard part. Given important advances in technology, tattoo removal is literally easier and safer than ever.
We’re going to clear up the rumors and give you the cold hard facts.
1. THE LASER MATTERS
It’s a competitive world out there and not all lasers are created equally. If you’re looking for the fastest removal time, and who isn’t, you want a PicoWay® Laser. Invisible Ink Tattoo Removers uses 3-Wavelength PicoWay® Laser technology because it breaks down ink of any color, on all skin types.
During treatment, the PicoWay® Laser delivers extremely short pulses of light energy. And different wavelengths are used depending on the characteristics of your tattoo and your skin type.
Old technology uses heat (fancy term: photothermal energy) to burn away the ink, but our new technology uses motion (fancy term: photokinetic energy) to shatter the ink molecules from stones to pebbles to sand.
2. YOUR BODY DOES THE REAL WORK
Tattoo ink selectively absorbs the light that’s produced by the laser—without destroying surrounding tissue. After absorbing the light, the ink shatters into tiny particles and your body steps in, clearing them naturally in the weeks following the session.
That’s why we only treat you every 8 weeks or so; your body needs time to clear away that ink through its natural processes.
3. EACH SESSION IS FAST
Depending on the complexity of your tattoo, each session should only take a few minutes. And most tattoos are removed in as few as 8 treatments, with an important caveat: Tattoos that are farther from the heart or on areas with lower blood flow (hands, fingers, feet and toes) take longer to fade.
4. THIS IS A PROCESS, SO WE’LL GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER
Unfortunately, tattoos don’t come off as quickly as they go on. Because, on average, it takes 8- 10 sessions, and we let your body do the work in the 8 weeks between sessions, true removal can take more than a year in total – sometimes more.
That’s why we hire people who are super smart, experienced, but also super friendly, personable and non-judgy. In fact, most of our staff have tattoos and gone through removal themselves! These are the people you’ll get to know (and love) in the process. Your new tattoo removal BFFs!
P.S. Check out the reviews – spoiler alert: most people don’t talk about the lasers or all that techy mumbo jumbo.
